Generation Wrecks is a short form improv team made up of Vermont performers who are decidedly over-the-hill. They have hundreds of years of combined life experience...despite this fact, most of them currently cannot find their keys. Come celebrate these witty, funny folks while you still can! Some of them could be dead soon!
PAUL, RYAN & A FRIEND
Two of Boston’s most experienced performers take the stage, each bringing their own comedic perspective. Ryan has worked extensively with Harold, long form, and short form as a founder of Mission Improvable and the Westside Comedy theater. Paul was a former director of ImprovBoston’s Mainstage and has a wealth of experience in free-form, short-form and all-form. Each show is played with a talented guest improviser, making sure that each show is a unique experience created just for you.
Butcher Block is a brand-spankin’-new house longform team from Vermont Comedy Club, made up of Jeremy, Alex and Maddy. Their witty, dry style has made them an audience favorite on Thursday nights.
TREBUCHET is a theatrical troupe of yore, hailing from Burlington, VT. They create a madcap, high-energy play on the spot, in the style of the Bard himself (that old scoundrel from Stratford, Will Shakespeare). Nothing is planned; the entire work is created spontaneously, based on only a single suggestion from the audience. Lovers, kings, paupers and fools are all played by these actors, to hilarious results. TREBUCHET is a “Shakespearience” not to be missed!
Medium Boy is a long form improv team from Burlington, VT that performs a modified version of a Harold ( a Harry, if you will) - focusing on relationships, character building, and absurdity.
MY BROTHER’S GIRLFRIEND
Fresh off his 2010 smash hit “The Cave of Forgotten Dreams‚” Werner Herzog is back to give the people what they’ve been clamoring for: a sequel that seeks to turn audience members’ boring-ass dreams into compelling improv theater. An audience member will give a brief description of a dream or nightmare they've had, then the Girlfriends will use the creepy dream as inspiration for their set!
THE FRESH PAINT
A diverse ensemble of Montreal’s most talented up and comers, The Fresh Paint are Colour Outside the Lines Montreal’s newest house team! Bringing you narratives of quirky family dynamics, the Fresh Paint are quick to weave their tales into some silly, wonderful improv.
Natalie Miller and Julia DiFerdinando (Owner and Creative Director of Vermont Comedy Club respectively) will present a character-fueled set of Broadway-inspired musical improv that will leave your toes tapping straight off your feet. FOSSE!
After Party is musical improv group based in Chicago, Illinois. Created in 2016, After Party consists of featured performers who have played with the Second City Training Center, iO Chicago, Annoyance, ComedySportz, and Baby Wants Candy. These fierce women are performers, musicians, and storytellers who love bringing on-the-spot comedic musicals to life.
MAKE US A MIX TAPE!
We want YOU to make US a MIX TAPE! This is the show where audience members get to write down any song they wish, and some of Vermont's funniest improvisers must use them to make up scenes on the spot. Featuring an all-star cast of improvisers from The Unmentionables and other teams, nobody knows what song is coming next — and that’s the fun!
THAT’s JUST WRONG!
A late-night comedy show that's "Whose Line is it, Anyway" for grown ups! In this interactive, no-holds-barred comedy throwdown, our professional team of improv comedians will create spontaneous scenes (with a bit of help from some audience volunteers). It’s a Friday show that’s fearless and f*!@in’ funny. Mature audiences only! This one will get rowdy — and you won’t want to miss it!
HINDENBURG is a one-of-a-kind show in which Natalie Miller invites one person with absolutely no improv experience to come and be her stage partner. She has improvised with college students, middle-aged moms, and in one case, did a 30-minute set with an 8-year old girl. Come see if HINDENBURG will be a complete disaster or a fantastic triumph!
BEWARE THE BAT!
Featuring an all-star cast of Vermont and international performers, this longform improv piece will take place entirely in the dark. Find out what comedians will do when they know you can’t see them. A surefire way to end Friday night with a bang!
