HELPFUL INFO FOR PERFORMING AT BIG POND
ABOUT THE VENUE: All shows will take place at Vermont Comedy Club (101 Main Street, Burlington, VT), which is located downtown/within walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes, Lake Champlain, etc. There is also a space across the street (118 Main) that will be open for warming up, select jams, etc.
We have a 140-seat showroom with cabaret-style seating. The stage is a 10" high platform that's 9' deep and 16' wide, with two doorways onstage. The stage (and all spaces) are ADA accessible. There is a small backstage area and green room with its own bathroom.
There is also a separate lounge where we can socialize before, after and during shows. VCC has a full bar and food menu. The lounge also doubles as a cafe during the day (open Fri-Sun, 8am-3pm) which offers espresso drinks, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, etc.
RULES OF THE STAGE: No fire, pyro, smoking, vaping or illegal substances onstage or in the space. No illegal acts of any kind on stage or in the space (such as full-frontal nudity). No outside alcohol can be brought into the space (even if it's to use in your performance). Absolutely no sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or offensive comments made at the expense of or for the purpose of mocking a marginalized community.
DAMAGES: Please be respectful of our space! If you break any equipment or damage the Vermont Comedy Club space in any way, your team may be responsible for damages.
CLEANING: You are responsible, with help from the VCC house manager, to clean up after your show (both on stage and in backstage/green room areas). Any liquids or other substances that have spilled on the floor, walls or anywhere else in the theater must be cleaned thoroughly after each performance. All trash should be disposed of.
SEEING SHOWS: We will be selling tickets to the public, but all performers in your cast will receive a complimentary performer wristband that allows them to get in to any shows with available seats for free. (Exceptions: the headlining shows with Ify Nwadiwe/Erika Ishii, which you’ll have to purchase individual tickets to, or an All Access Pass, to guarantee entry.)
