Trail Days

MORNING ROUTINE ON MONDAY & THURSDAY (ELLEN’S “TRAIL DAYS”)

Sometime between 8:30am-9:30am, make sure both dogs go out. If you’re gonna stay out after dropping Ellen off, a walk on the street with both dogs would be a good idea.

  • Leah will text “15 minutes out” between 9:40am and 10am.

  • Close all interior doors, pick up anything Tina might get into, and throw a few blankets on the couch.

  • Put the appropriate jacket on Ellen if necessary, and put her on the leash.

  • Throw a few treats in the blankets for Tina and leave her alone in the house. Pull the locked door shut behind you.

  • Put Ellen in the back of the car and drive her to the parking lot of Cedar Bluff Condos (pictured above), 305 Lime Kiln Road, to hand her off to Leah.

  • After this, you can either A) return to the house, or B) stay out for the day.

AFTERNOON ROUTINE:

  • Leah will text “15 minutes out” around 1:30pm and you’ll have to be back at Lime Kiln Road to pick Ellen up. (Tina is okay to be in the house from 10am-2pm.)

  • When you return to the house with Ellen, let both dogs out to pee.

  • They may want a snack, Kong, etc., but try to wait til 4pm to give them their afternoon meal.
